Opponent -- Sheldon Wasserman -- (D)

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Endorses Senator Alberta Darling

Senator Alberta Darling has a plan to cut taxes, grow the economy, create jobs and reform health care. She continues to oppose raising taxes including a sales tax hike and her voting record bears out these positions. She’s not a “hot air” Legislator!

State Representative Sheldon Wasserman claims to be a fiscal conservative. His voting record proves this to be false! His lack of integrity is an issue that should concern voters greatly. He has violated his no-tax pledge and is lying to voters saying that he kept his word.

Senator Darling is an ethical, proven entity that works ceaselessly for her District and this State and her record proves it! Support her NOW!

32nd District

Dan Kapanke -- (R-Inc)

STATE SENATE DISTRICT 32

INCUMBENT REPUBLICAN DAN KAPANKE, CHALLENGED BY DEMOCRAT TARA JOHNSON

Dan Kapanke has been a leader in Madison for the past four years. He has fought to control wasteful government spending and to reduce our extreme tax burden. He has vehemently opposed raids on the Injured Patients and Families Compensation Fund and the Transportation Fund. His belief, based on his experience, is that we need to be good stewards of government funds, not rob Peter to pay Paul!

He has worked collaboratively with Republican and Democrat colleagues for the good of his constituents. As an example, Dan Kapanke is noted for partnering with Democrats on a successful dental care access program for the under-insured in his District.

See his voting record at: www.americansforprosperity.org

Why would voters choose the opponent, Tara Johnson, when they have a proven commodity in Dan Kapanke with the ability to lead and to get things done through sound assessment and collaboration????

LET’S SUPPORT DAN KAPANKE’S RE-ELECTION TO STATE SENATE DISTRICT 32!!!

10th District

Sheila Harsdorf -- (R-Inc)
State Senator Sheila Harsdorf is a leader in bringing change to Wisconsin! She worked diligently for the enactment of the Crackdown on Meth Act, which reversed the growth in meth labs in our communities; to create Health Care Cooperatives to provide families and small employers more affordable health care choices, and to ban the infamous Frankenstein Veto. See her voting history at:

www.americansforprosperity.org/wi/07_Report_Card.pdf

Her opponent, Alison Page, is a traditional liberal who supports bigger government. In a forum sponsored by the Western Wisconsin Intergovernmental Coalition on September 25, 2008, Alison Page publicly stated her support for increased sales and income taxes. WOW, just what Wisconsin needs to help our economy!

Can there be any question as to which of these candidates will be best for the Wisconsin State Senate seat?

12th District

Candidate:  Tom Tiffany -- (R)
www.tomtiffany.com

Tom Tiffany is our choice for the 12th State Senate District because he supports lowering taxes, restoring fiscal accountability in Madison, creating jobs, and reforming government regulations. In the meantime, state government continues to spend at a rate beyond inflation. As a small business owner and employer, Tom has personally encountered excessive regulation and fee structures required to run a business in Wisconsin and would like to make changes that will encourage job growth instead of job loss.

In contrast, Jim Holperin would be more of the same if elected to the Wisconsin State Senate. As a former assemblyman, he voted to raise just about every tax we pay in Wisconsin. He voted to raise sales taxes, gas taxes and was on the powerful Joint Finance Committee when government spending increased at record levels. The spending increases continued when he served on the Nicolet Technical College board in Rhinelander where taxpayer-funded spending increased 33 percent during a six year period.

Jim Holperin is pro-choice. While serving in the Assembly, he voted to allow abortions at hospitals funded by taxpayer dollars. Jim supports gay marriage, and as Tourism Secretary, he stated that a ban on gay marriage in Wisconsin would make it harder to attract gay tourists to visit the state.

Tom Tiffany is a pro-Life candidate who believes that marriage is between one man and one woman. Tom Tiffany is the candidate we need in the Wisconsin State Senate. Please work to help him achieve victory on November 4th.
