The Wisconsin Federation of Republican Women
As a member of your local club and the WFRW you are automatically a member of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW). The benefits for our members are bountiful.
As a member of the WFRW and NFRW you have an opportunity to serve at the state and national level, attend candidate and leadership training, apply for scholarships, use resources available for fundraising, event planning, membership drives and more. There are even tools to help your club form a satellite club.
You have access to free (or for a nominal fee) publications like the NFRW Leader's Guide, Legislative Advocacy Manual, Protocol in Politics Guide, and President's Survival Toolkit. The NFRW also offers a series of sample publications for local clubs to use. You have access to professional training in leadership and political skills including NFRW's Campaign Management Schools.
You many apply for the one of the scholarships offered, attend biannual board meetings and biennial national conferences. Conferences always include interactive workshops, informative programs and exciting speakers.

The WFRW - A Brief History
Local clubs in Wisconsin were organized prior to 1930 in Marathon, Milwaukee and Waukesha counties. During the early 1930s, clubs were formed in Kenosha, Manitowoc and Two Rivers, and a Republican State Organization of Women was officially established. Jenny Thomas of Sheboygan served as the first president, and the first convention was held in 1936. With 1,124 members in 43 counties, the state organization affiliated with the NFRW in 1940.
Today, the Wisconsin Federation is divided into eight districts and has 22 clubs with approximately 1,000 members. Members participate in get-out-the-vote efforts, host meet and greets with elected officials and candidates, and ensure our members have the latest campaign and legislative information available for local, state and federal offices. It also provides volunteers for local campaigns and, as an education arm of the Republican Party in the state, instructs its members in campaign techniques for use in electing Republicans to public office. WFRW has built a cohesive relationship with the Republican Party of WI and all local county Republican parties.
